When a customer calls a bank, a school, or a big company, the phone system has a main menu that guides callers to different departments or responsible units according to their specific needs. This kind of automatic guiding system is called an “auto-attendant,” and is one of EVOX’ s most important functions. An auto-attendant streamlines the customer experience and ensures calls are handled quickly and that the caller receives the information or personal support they require.

 

EVOX Auto-attendant is unique in that it provides several auto-attendant settings and features. The easy-to-use web admin center allows you to configure these settings and design a better phone experience for your customers. Let’s take a look at some of these features:

  • Company Inbound Call Routing:

    Company inbound call routing allows you to configure how a call to your company is answered. If you choose “Auto-attendant” mode for EVOX, then the inbound calls will be answered with your personalized company greeting followed by a customized voice menu that directs callers to the right destination. If you switch to “Company receptionist” mode, you can designate an individual or group to act as switchboard. Additionally, you can specify that a receptionist answer calls during office hours, and use the Auto-attendant for after hours or lunch when a live receptionist is not available.
  • Speed ​​dial menu:

    The speed dial menu allows you to designate simple one or two digits extensions to quickly send customers to different departments. This simplifies the interface for the customer by allowing them to, for example, dial 1 to reach the billing department or 2 to reach technical service.
  • Company greetings:

    The EVOX greetings are customizable, allowing you to control your company image and customer experience. In addition to the default main greeting, you can create different greetings for different time periods such as after work or during noon time. You also have two choices for the greetings. You can simply type in the script, select the type of voice you wish (male or female) and EVOX AI technology will convert it into an audio greeting. Alternatively you could record and upload a voice recording. You can also use text to voice technology to test out a greeting to see how it sounds, and then replace it with an actual (or even celebrity) voice recording for a more personal touch.
  • Return to Main Menu:

    By enabling the Return to Main Menu greeting, callers can choose to be returned to the main menu by simply entering the * key. This allows callers to hear menu choices again, or to return to the menu if they mistakenly entered an incorrect selection.
